Every cup opens another world.
Coffee can be a short break or the start of great curiosity. Choose your path. No exam, no single correct taste.

Brew-ratio calculator
Filter: ratio 10–25, coffee 1–100 g or water 10–3000 g. Espresso: ratio 1–5, dose 1–40 g. This calculates quantities, not how to fill a device.
How long will a pack last?
Without JavaScript: formulas and examples
Filter: coffee = water / ratio; water = coffee × ratio. Espresso: beverage = dry dose × ratio. Pack: servings = mass / dose; days = mass / (dose × daily servings).
Examples: 15 × 16 = 240 g water; 250 / 16 ≈ 15.6 g coffee; 18 × 2 = 36 g espresso; 500 / (18 × 2) ≈ 13.9 days. Check prices on the current variant page.
An atlas. Three countries, many cups.
A diagram of three countries, not a farm map or actual supply route. Country descriptions are also available as ordinary links.
What could improve your cup?
Sour and thin
First compare the coffee profile with your expectations and check the dose. If the recipe is repeatable, adjust grind slightly and compare. Sourness alone does not determine extraction.
Bitter and dry
Check equipment cleanliness and roast profile. Clean according to the manual and compare the same recipe before changing time, temperature and beans.
Watery
Count all water, ice and later dilution. With the same dose, reduce only added water; if you add none, run a separate ratio experiment.
Uneven / stalled flow
For filter brewing, check filter placement and size. If that does not help, try a slightly coarser grind next time while keeping other parameters fixed.
For espresso, check even distribution and the basket. Improve bed preparation as one change; do not compensate for unevenness simply by extending time.
With unusual resistance, leaks or faults, stop the experiment and follow the device manual. Do not open a hot pressurised moka pot or force a plunger.
Coffee passport
Read separately: name and net mass, species and variety, country and documented region, processing, roast, sensory description, and actual lot and date. A note is not an ingredient; a country is not a farm. A missing field is a question for the producer, not space for a guess.
Your tasting notebook
Compare two recipes for one coffee or two coffees with one recipe. Label the cups, let them cool slightly and record your impressions. This is a home experiment, not professional scoring.
The note is not sent or saved in browser storage by default. You can copy or print it. Do not enter confidential data.
Coffee for a gift and for a team.
Ask about the recipient’s grinder, method and taste. For a team, calculate consumption and ask about invoicing and logistics. Gift contents, basket and voucher terms must be clear before purchase.
A few questions over coffee.
Does a more expensive coffee always taste better?
Price does not predict your taste. Compare description, method and transparency while keeping the recipe similar.
Does each country have one coffee flavour?
No. Region, variety, processing, roasting and recipe make cups differ. An atlas provides context, not a forecast for every lot.
Does ground coffee suit every method?
Do not assume so. Check the grind’s intended use and device manual; choosing “ground” does not establish compatibility.
