A walk through Kuźnica can begin at the harbour and continue to the beach on the sea side. Further options are Góra Libek and the Uroczysko Każa nature trail. Each offers a different reason to step outside: a waterfront, an open shore, a viewpoint or a path through the woods. Consult the municipal guide and signs on the ground when planning. Choose a distance and conditions that suit you. Coffee can fit in along the way or back at your own table.

The harbour on the bay
Start your walk at the harbour on Puck Bay. The fishing harbour and marina are part of Kuźnica’s waterfront; two breakwaters protect the harbour following the modernisation completed in 2012. It is a place to see the village from the water and look at the boats. Stay in areas open to visitors and leave space for people working around vessels. Afterwards, over coffee, return to a detail that caught your eye: a hull colour, ropes or a reflection in the water.
Two shores, two walks
Kuźnica offers a choice between the open Baltic and the shore of Puck Bay. The sea beach is broad and sandy, while the bay beach has a smaller, more sheltered character. See both rather than assuming that every side of the peninsula feels the same. Check local signs and the day’s conditions when choosing an access point. Pack only what you want to carry on a short walk and close your flask before stepping onto the sand. Coffee afterwards can be just as good a plan as taking it to the shore.
Góra Libek and the woodland trail
Góra Libek is a dune rise rather than a mountain expedition. The municipal guide describes a 2.6 km trail with an approximate walking time of 50 minutes. Use that for planning, not as a promise of everyone’s pace. Allow extra time, wear walking shoes and follow the marked route. Avoid shortcuts through dune vegetation. If you plan to return along the beach, first assess the weather and shore conditions; a suggested circular route is not equally comfortable every day.
Uroczysko Każa and the cycle route
The municipality lists Uroczysko Każa and Góra Libek among Kuźnica’s nature trails. Its cycle route follows provincial road 216 and forms part of the Hel–Puck connection. A nature walk and a bicycle ride do not necessarily use the same path. Choose a route for your equipment and fitness, check signs on the ground and do not automatically apply walking directions to cycling. Leave the route clear for others when stopping; a coffee break does not need to block anyone’s passage.
Plan the journey and a coffee stop
If travelling by rail, check the current service and station name in the operator’s timetable. Coming from Hel or the Tricity direction, allow time for walking and any connection. By car, head for Kuźnica and follow local parking signs; we do not promise a private parking space at the roastery. Our address is Helska 4. We are guests on the shore
Give birds and animals on the shore space. The University of Gdańsk’s Marine Station explains that a seal may be resting on a beach; being out of the water does not itself mean illness. Do not approach or touch it, or encourage close-up photographs. Keep dogs away. If its condition worries you, follow the Marine Station’s current guidance and contact details. Watching from a distance is a better memory than making an animal flee from people enjoying a walk.
